Making
pages for inclusion on the Diocesan Web
Site
Three
categories of people are
recognised as being involved in
production & maintenance of the site. They are :
- The content
authors - people who have
something to say via the medium of the Diocesan web site but do
not
know anything about the technical details
of web pages and have no
desire to find out.
- Technical
editors, who can read &
understand HTML code, understand the basics of site design &
structure. They assist the content authors convert the message into
reality on the web.
- The webmaster - who works
with the company hosting the site to ensure the site does not go down,
and with the technical editors concerning matters of site design,
structure and procedures.
The first section - "Let's make
a page!" - shows how quick
&
easy
it is to make a page that adds value to the site and get it published.
It is intended to be read like a book, each step building on the
preceding steps.
The second section - "Digging
deeper" - includes things like
policies and recommendations for the site, the kind of thing that the
Technical Editors need to read.
So lets find out What you need.

(Do you want to see related
pages, the whole
site or the non-frames Sitemap?)
