Steps
along the way
The
web site is produced by a group of people who
work together. That means there has to be a definite workflow, and
agreement on who does what to each portion of the site. Each step in
the process is important but the first two - gathering the information
and creating the page - are critically important because :
- people outside your parish want and
need information about the
parish,
- the information needs to be reliable,
- putting the information on the web makes it available outside
office hours
- you have to make the pages before
they can be published!
- The workflow
- What you do
- Gather the information.
- Create
the page and pass it on for the next stage of work.
- What someone else does
- Link the page to other pages on the site.
- Check
everything works.
- Modify the Site News page.
- Publish the new and changed pages.
- Mail
people to let them know the site has changed.
So
now we are ready to make
a parish page and pass it on to the next person.

pages, the whole
site or the non-frames Sitemap?)
