Training Why
Train to Teach at Sunday Shool?
|
The key
to right decisions is frequently the word,
"why?" From
Christian educators we hear the challenge, "train to teach"!
It is re-echoed in conventions, teachers meetings church services and
everywhere.
But why train to teach? Here are some of
the reasons:
- To
clearly understand the truths of God.
The servant
of the lord ministers
acceptably only with a clear-cut knowledge of the bible. This knowledge
is obtained most quickly through planned courses. - To
understand those you teach.
The good teacher
desires to see the lives
of his pupils changed. Understanding people enables effective teaching
that results in victorious Christian living. - To
learn about the organisation with which you work.
For effective work
within an orginisation, the purpose and program must be understood.
Understanding results in harmonious cooperation! - To
learn biblical methods of communication.
To reach people for Christ we
must know how to communicate with them. The study of biblical examples
of communication is the best way to learn. - To
maintain freshness in teaching.
New ideas and methods will spark any
class. The teacher who is continually learning is a more challenging
and influential teacher. - To
make Sunday school a school.
Parents demand well
trained teachers in day school. they expect you to be trained to teach
in Sunday school. - To expand
your opportunities for service.
The Lord
desires to use you to the fullest of your abilities. Training will
sharpen your abilities and enable you to grasp greater opportunities.
- To serve the Lord better.
The Lord asks for your best and promises to
reward those who give their best. Training makes service more pleasing
to the Lord. - To teach with confidence.
Every teacher desires to
instruct, discuss and answer questions with confidence. Confidence
increases through proper training and experience. - To
teach with success.
Success in teaching does not just happen - it comes
from a knowledge of the subject taught plus the use of proven teaching
methods by a dedicated teacher.
