- Celebrating
Unique Christian Spirituality
"At
Christmas the
world is confronted with a reality it cannot change. Whether we
believe it or not, whether we like it or not, Jesus Christ was born
and we cannot alter that fact." -

- "Servant of the
Servants of God:
A Pastor's Spirituality.", an essay by Robert M Schwartz.
This essay examines the roles of the ordained minister and
the rest of
the church from a Roman Catholic, post Vatican II perspective. It has
much to say about Every Member Ministry.
"Vatican II insisted that the
priesthood
of the ordained and the
priesthood of the baptized are different in kind and not only in
degree. They
are different ways of participating in the one
priesthood of Christ and the
Church.
The council also affirmed that these two ways of participating in
Christ's
priesthood are related to one another by their very nature. Neither the
priesthood of the ordained nor the priesthood of the laity stands
alone."

Pastoral Letter from the
Primates of the Anglican Communion.
The Primates of the Anglican Communion sent this pastoral letter to all
bishops, clergy and people of our churches, with the desire that it be
read or distributed at public worship on the Feast of Pentecost, 2003.
[ It provides an insight into
what the Archbishops see as major issues and the stance they
collectively take as guides of the Anglican Communion.
