I would like to congratulate our President, Thabo Mbeki, on his recent initiative in meeting with President Robert Mugabe and Mr Morgan Tsvangirai in Harare. I would also like to affirm and support the efforts of Zimbabwean church leaders in the efforts they are making to resolve the situation.
It is my prayer and hope that formal discussions between the two parties take place as soon as possible to bring about a solution to the crisis, and peace and well-being to all Zimbabweans.
