JOB DESCRIPTION – FIELDWORKER

A] FIELD RESPONSIBILTIES AND FACILITATION

  1. The Field worker must assist in the implementation of the Peer Education and/ or the life skills programme in the Diocese

  2. The Field worker must visit projects to motivate and energize the members and to help them plan and report adequately.

  3. He/She should facilitate training workshops aimed at building capacity for those involved in the programme implementation.

  4. The Field worker design and facilitate training workshop for dioceses, parishes, and communities with a specific focus on messages of Abstinence and being faithful.

  5. Must assist in the planning, guidance, and execution of community youth events related/linked to the Peer education and /or life skills programme.

  6. The Field worker should have regular contact with the project teams, Diocesan coordinator and the Bishop

  7. The Field worker should ensure that He/She meets with the Diocesan Bishop whenever conducting Diocesan visits

B] ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. The Field worker is responsible for providing monthly workplans and reports to the in-land programme officer, Capacity Building Manager and the Monitoring and evaluation specialist.

  2. She/He must keep accurate record of all events and functions taking place in his/her area of operation, and are able to write up highlights, challenges and success stories for the programme.

  3. The Field worker should assist parish and Diocesan teams with training material in consultation with the Capacity Building Manager.

  4. The Field worker is responsible for the planning and developing projects at local and Diocesan level

  5. The Field worker should offer assistance and support to local and diocesan projects.

  6. The Field worker is required to foster partnerships at local and diocesan level with organization that are working in a similar field and area of focus.

  7. The Field worker must be able to organize for and host visitors to project sites and motivate for Siyafundisa Issues, this must be done together with or in consultation with the Programme Director.

  8. The Field worker should maintain regular contact with the Capacity Building Manager and the Programme Officer.
